Everything is blue

I know it’s been ages, and there’s so much to catch up on. But for now I’ll leave you with my latest obsession.

Active 2016

2016. A new year. All those resolutions that we think about, sometimes write down, but hardly ever finish.

I decided that 2016 would be my year of being active. There are so many awesome activities to do around Cape Town that involve being outside and being active, this is my year to enjoy them.

From walking along the Sea Point Promenade after work, to hikes in Newlands Forest or on the pipe track, the last few weeks have been really nice (and active).

One month of being active: check. Here’s to the next 11 months, and making being outdoors and active a habit.

What are your resolutions?

50 shades of grey

Ok, how amazing is this grey hair? I know that it’s been a trend for a while, but I’m still not over it.

I am SO tempted to give this a try. What do you think?

Indoor plant obsession

2 3 4 home1

I’ve recently and rather suddenly become obsessed with indoor plants. I just want the whole flat to become a jungle of orchids, peace lilies, delicious monsters and whatever this plant is in the photo above that is just hanging over all of the shelves – LOVE IT.

What I am really enjoying about these indoor plants is that I’m managing to keep them alive which is a big surprise for me because I normally kill any plants that I touch (what’s the opposite of green fingers?)

Do you have any indoor plants? Let me know.

Reverie Social Table

Reverie Social Table opened a couple of months ago in Observatory, and if you haven’t already tried it, you’re missing out! They do an amazing five course dinner and wine pairing (which my parents went to and LOVED). We went for a light lunch which was incredibly delicious. The food on offer everyday is different, depending on the fresh ingredients chef Julia can get her hands on. At around R50 for a beautiful plate of food – so worth it! (Their coffee is incredible too!)\
